Personal

Mother, Michele; sister: Lindsey...Sister, Lindsey, won the 2014 National High School Rodeo Association barrel racing title...Made the High School finals in both poles and barrels and competed in college rodeo for 4 years...Moved when she was young from Temecula, Calif., to Whitesboro, Texas...Found a lot of success on a mare known as Skye, registered name Kellies Chick. Katelyn made her first run on the mare on Aug. 11, 2013 and a few days later won the Oklahoma Summer ShootOut. Skye was owned by Hi Performance Horses and was sold to WPRA member Andrea Busby at the end of 2015, where Busby rode her to the Mountain States Circuit Finals average title...Michele told her she couldn't go hard on the rodeo road until she graduated from college.
